Who is Bethany Mota?

 

Bethany Mota was born on November 7th, 1995 in Los Banos, California. She is now 18 years old and lives at home with her Mom, Dad, and older sister Brittney. At the age of 13, she started making her own videos on beauty and fashion in her bedroom. “I was 13 years old. It was summertime. I was really bored and I didn’t have anything to do,” she told TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie. “And also, I had been bullied at the time, so I feel like YouTube was kind of my outlet, just to kind of do what I wanted and express my creativity through my content. I wasn’t really focused on gaining popularity. I was just wanting to have fun.” Bethany's motivation behind her channel was to help girls all over the world become more confident in themselves, and that is still her dream today. Now, Bethany has over 4.9 million subscribers on YouTube and 1.6 million subscribers on her personal YouTube channel, "Bethany's Life". She also has more than one million followers on Twitter and two million on Instagram. Bethany is so known around the world that she has had segments in magazines such as Seventeen, and Teen Vogue. Recently, Aéropostale contacted Bethany and she has been working with them ever since. She's already come out with a winter and spring clothing line for the store and is coming out with a summer line this April. Bethany has been on tour all over the US and is hopefully going again this summer. Bethany is a teenage girl with big dreams and a bright future ahead of her.
